Judgment first, not direct translation
We explain naturalness, register, tone, social signal, and the hidden mistake a dictionary usually misses. The goal is not to list Chinese words. The goal is to help the reader make a better choice.
ABOUT SHUOFA
ChineseDecoded exists for the gap between "technically translated" and "what a real person would actually say, hear, order, choose, or avoid."
We explain naturalness, register, tone, social signal, and the hidden mistake a dictionary usually misses. The goal is not to list Chinese words. The goal is to help the reader make a better choice.
Would a real person say this here? If the answer is only "sometimes," the page has to explain when, with whom, and why the choice changes.
High-risk or launch-priority topics are reviewed first. Recognition results and future user uploads stay private by default until they are deduplicated, checked, and turned into one canonical page.
That includes everyday speech, internet slang, names, tattoos, and menus. These are the places where literal translation sounds wrong, feels odd, or causes avoidable embarrassment.
